Hi, my name is Tori and I am a Funko Pop! addict. Yup! That’s right, I collect Funko Pop figures. My collection started a little over a year ago and now I have about 40 figures (and that number keeps going up). It has gotten to the point where I have begun to run out of room in my small college dorm room.
Recently, I heard about a subscription service called Pop In a Box and I knew that I had to give it a shot. Each month you can have up to six random Pops sent straight to your door. Pop in a Box guarantees that you will never get a duplicate or a Pop you do not want.
How does this work, you might ask?
After you create an account, you will have access to the ‘Pop Tracker.’ In the Pop Tracker, you will see all the different Pop collections ranging from Pop! Disney to Pop! Heroes and everything in between. I took the time to go through every collection giving a thumbs up, thumbs down or marking that I had it. I found that the website was super easy and fun to navigate through!
Josh, my Pop collecting boyfriend, saw me tracking my Pops on the website and decided he would sign up for it too! “Although I came into the Pop collecting late, and I am selective with my Pop purchases, I found my self to have a lot in almost every category,” says Josh. “Even if I am not making a purchase at a time, it is really cool to keep track of all the Pops I have. I didn’t realize how many Pops I saw I had until I saw the total when I was done.”
When you look at a Pop though Pop Tracker there are 4 different icons you can click on: a shopping cart, a lock, thumbs up, and thumbs down. The shopping cart takes you to the Pop Store where you can directly buy that Pop. The lock is what you click if you own that specific Pop. It starts off unlocked and by locking it, it signifies that you it is now a part of your collection. By clicking thumbs up, it places that Pop on your wish list and by clicking thumbs down, it is sent to the Pop Grave.
Note: Some Pops do not have a shopping cart icon and instead have a ‘ⓘ’ symbol which means this product can not be purchased and is most likely, rare.
It took me about an hour to go through all the Pops selecting categorizing the Pops into the ones I had, did not like and ones I wanted. And I was ready to place my order. With in a week, I had received my two Pops in a Box! It arrived super quick. In my box I got Zero and Effie Trinket, both of which I gave a thumbs up!
As a person who keeps her Pop’s in a box, it can be very nerve wracking ordering Pops in the mail because you never know what condition the box is going to be in when it arrives. Well, the not only were the Pop’s in great shape but so were the boxes.
I highly recommend this subscription box for Funko Pop lovers because of the personal aspect and surprise you get every time!
