My name is Tori Grace and I am currently attending college to fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher.
When I am not working on my blog, you can find me all around my college campus. I might be found at work- either at my school’s Student Union, or being the Departmental Assistant for my major. Or I could be at one of my various club meetings, each of which I hold a different officer position: President, Vice President, and Secretary. I can also be found in the Student Government office planning some school events.
I guess you could say I have spread my self thin in college, but let me tell you, it is worth it! And that is why I am here sharing my experience with you!
About this blog:
During the first year of college, I started a WordPress blog called, “Tori in Thousand Oaks,” to keep my family updated about my life. They are such big supporters and have made a huge impact in my life that I wanted to share my journey with them.
Soon enough I decided to buy my own domain because I realized how wonderful the blogging community is. I found my self creating friendships, and gaining inspiration from others. After a year of growing my blog, I decided to make another switch and rebrand.
Thus, Tori Grace. I am really excited to see where this new journey takes me.
You might be wondering, what does the wave symbolize in my logo?
When I was brainstorming for my new brand and looking for symbols of grace, I came across a picture of a wave and the quote below.
“Grace is a way of being, of how you treat people. In ancient Polynesia, grace was a state of mind where all was in acceptance. When someone is in a true state of grace, they accept that people, things, circumstances just are. They are not to be judged, and therefore, allowed to live. The symbol of grace is a series of wavy lines, such as a wave.”
I fell in love with what because here at Tori Grace, no one is judged and every one is welcome to live their life to the fullest. I aim to be in a true state of grace.
School: I am majoring in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies with a minor in Psychology.
Extracurriculars: Crafts, event planning, mentoring, organization, writing, traveling, washi tape and practicing my faith.
